The manufacture of vehicles

Hello I run a topic for my research can not find answers.

The dicutions on road pollution still turn on emissions, we sometimes end up with a climate almost hate to owners of older vehicles "pollutants" while their owners are some of the pros of eco-driving.

Then what about manufacturing? The most recent are already packed with electronics to manufacture ultra-polluting and non-recyclable. The lifetime is less because the necessary equipment is not within the reach of the individual. Or are manufactured and the vehicles or their materials come from increasingly diverse (are they recyclable?) All these transports are not they pollute more than the savings realized? The steering has become a standard, tire wear is it a big source of pollution? Hence they come? Is it recycles well? A turbocharged doing less rejection but burn more oxygen, thus increasing the CO2 levels in the air. Is it really better?

The questions are still numerous. I am open to any criticism recess.

Measures that seem to me more just:
Reduce the diversity of the car park.
Reducing engine power or at least lengthen the reports.
Make simple vehicles and lengthen their lifespan (parts available long)

One idea would be to create as a hitchhiker cuff available comissariat and recover in the coming days to promote carpooling bypassing Internet and avoid the fear of theft or assault.

Here again your ideas are welcome and if these measures parraissent utopian and impractical, at least let's stop this psychosis around polluting vehicles that divides the population. The question is more complex than the release of CO2 and particulates

Anecdote: fesiez you that there are 15 years in case of failure? Grand gestures, he would sometimes take a while before someone helps you. Now called a friend who sometimes move from far to come help. This is one example among many others that prove nuvels technologies have increased displacements instead of reducing them (see sustainable computing on wikipedia)

Good day to all

Continued studies after X (Polytechnic)

Hello to you all,

Currently in aeronautical engineering school (prepa its integral) I am interested curiosity of excellence tract.
Indeed, I have observed that many CEOs; especially in aeronautics / finance graduates are X and mine / ENA ...

So I wonder, knowing he must pay the slipper (tuition)
-What Do we / can we do to the output X when you aspire to occupy large positions in large companies (As a major European manufacturer for example)?
- Is there a another Excellence training in economics / management / specialized Master / dual degree abroad ... other than MBA, which comes later?

Waiting for your answers
Best Regards

Watch Out!

To say that philosophy, languages and French we balance is completely untrue !!!

In contrast, tests of language and French / philo competitions have a non-negligible importance, and often make the difference for admission to Central / Supelec or contest Mines / Bridges. Thus, in writing, the most important factor in is that of the French Central ... (event by event, but there are two in math and physics course)

So do not go on "is science, so I do not care literary materials"

Finally, it is completely untrue to say that the level of prépas is the same everywhere "because the program is the same"

The top ten prépas of France are the best because they may have the best students, but also because the "perks" of the program are discussed, the number of classroom exercises done is more important, the hourly volume too, etc ....

Thus, a student who is in the last 4 to Henry can get into the top ten in St. Louis (which is nevertheless a very good high school also!)

To return to the original question, I think that aiming Chaptal, Fenelon, Janson de Sailly (in Paris), Kléber (Strasbourg), Poincaré (I do not remember where, sorry ...) for example is very widely.

Voili voilu I hope I have helped

Scientific prepa Admission

Hi all, it will soon be the post-baccalaureate enrollment, I would go to science prep but I have a problem: I have a really weird issue and I do not know at all where I can be taken.
In short (I think the second of notes not count):
I was a year ahead but I stepped the first (the first year I really screwed up anything, it seems to me that this case does not count); the second such year to the middle of the first quarter (completely unmotivated: all my friends in SC and I redoubled I'm too rotten) where I get sick; I come back during the third quarter and I tape 08 average but good judgment because I have super good progress (after a month of classes I was 03 average). This year I have not been terrible in the first quarter:
-13 In math and physics (with an excellent appreciation of physics teacher)
-6.5 LV2 and German philosophy (but my philosophy teacher is a xxxx everyone hates and 6.5 is the average of the class)
-10 To 11 in other subjects (I spe SVT)

In the second quarter is better I have (the quarter is almost over):
-17 Math (is-it's a good thing that the teacher believes I doing anything?)
-15 In Physics (Prof. sure I'm passionate genius ...)
-15 Spec SVT (it is useless but the class)
-One Thing sucks kind 7 in philosophy (prof dirt I will have your skin !!) and even worse in German
-around 11-12 in History and English

The rest I not know we did not have all the notes ...

I think my school is "excellent" (it has 99% success in S tray), I Teachers math and physics that are super good too hot checks (I'm second in 2 subjects) and love me

For those who have had the patience to read me it would be nice to tell me roughly to submit an application that I do not do anything, and what I expect ...

Preparatory class for high schools

The preparatory classes for the grandes écoles (CPGE) Commonly called Expired classes prépas prépas gold, are hand of the French post-secondary education system. They Consist of two very intensive years (extendable to three or oven Exceptionally years) qui act as a preparatory course (or cram school) with the main goal of training Students for Undergraduate Enrollment in one of the schools. The workload is one of the Highest in the world [1] (between 35 and 45 hours a week Contact, Including written and oral exams).

The Students from CPGEs-have to take the national competitive exams To Be allowed to enroll in one of the Grandes Ecoles. These are Grandes Ecoles Higher Education establishments (graduate schools) Delivering dergrees master's and / or PHDs. They include science & engineering schools, business schools, the oven and the oven veterinary colleges colleges superior goal do not include medical institutes or institutes architecture. Due to Their entrance exams competitive, Having Attended one of the great schools is Often Regarded as a status symbol on paper as They Have Produced Traditionally MOST of France's scientists, executives and intellectuals.

Hence, There are three different kinds of prépas: the Scientific, Business and Literary CPGEs. Each of Them prepared to pass the competitive exams Of Those universities.

Re: Skip Ulm as an independent candidate

The main advantage I see is the ability to only and only math and a little info or physics (or no physical) and no materials related and thus finish (assuming you learn as much without teacher, I believe with good books but it is not the case for everyone) with a higher final level in math. Indeed, as an independent candidate we can do a lot more math. During some days of vacation I happened to do more than 12 hours of maths in the day. Without going at this pace every day, we imagine the level in the long term if someone predisposed to mathematics actually ten hours a day for 2 years - impossible in prep material out with math (mainly physics) too time consuming. However, the higher level he will remain in M1 and M2? Not obvious.

Skip Ulm as an independent candidate

Knowing that there is no bonus / malus (depending on perspective) in Ulm in the number of years in prépas, I would start the debate:

In what extent is it advantageous for a very good at math (the style of those regularly admitted to the X and Ulm in 3/2 through a prep class) to prepare Ulm as an independent candidate in relation to being framed by a preparation?

I would say:

benefits:
• No loss of time listening to sometimes slow explanations of prof.
• More relaxation
• social stress on Less
• No DS trivial
• No time loss TD

disadvantages:
• No training khôlles, which is important for oral and surcoît is a great experience to live in prep.
• No correction on writing
• Risk of failure if one is not disciplined (like me)

Higher education

Higher education, post-secondary education, tertiary education or third level education is an optional final stage of formal learning that occurs after secondary education. Often delivered at universities, academies, colleges, seminaries, and institutes of technology, higher education is also available through certain college-level institutions, including vocational schools, trade schools, and other career colleges that award academic degrees or professional certifications. Tertiary education at non-degree level is sometimes referred to as further education or continuing education as distinct from higher education.

The right of access to higher education is mentioned in a number of international human rights instruments. The UN International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 declares, in Article 13, that "higher education shall be made equally accessible to all, on the basis of capacity, by every appropriate means, and in particular by the progressive introduction of free education". In Europe, Article 2 of the First Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights, adopted in 1950, obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education.

In the days when few pupils progressed beyond primary education, the term "higher education" was often used to refer to secondary education, which can create some confusion.

University and college admission

University admission or college admission is the process through which students enter tertiary education at universities and colleges. Systems vary widely from country to country, and sometimes from institution to institution.

In many countries, prospective university students apply for admission during their last year of high school or community college. In some countries, there are independent organizations or government agencies to centralize the administration of standardized admission exams and the processing of applications.

Military Education and Training

Military education and training is a process which intends to establish and improve the capabilities of military personnel in their respective roles.

Military education can be voluntary or compulsory duty. Before any person gets authorization to operate technical equipment or be on the battlefield, they must take a medical and often a physical examination. If passed, they may begin primary training.

The primary training is recruit training. Recruit training attempts to teach the basic information and training in techniques necessary to be an effective service member.

To achieve this, service members are drilled physically, technically and psychologically. The drill instructor has the task of making the service members fit for military use.

After finishing basic training, many service members undergo advanced training more in line with their chosen or assigned specialties. In advanced training, military technology and equipment is often taught.

Many large countries have several military academies, one for each branch of the service, that offer college degrees in a variety of subjects, similar to other colleges. However, academy graduates usually rank as officers, and as such have many options besides civilian work in their major subject. Higher-ranking officers also have further educational opportunities. Tertiary education

Tertiary education, also referred to as third stage, third level, and post-secondary education, is the educational level following the completion of a school providing a secondary education. The World Bank, for example, defines tertiary education as including universities as well as institutions that teach specific capacities of higher learning such as colleges, technical training institutes, community colleges, nursing schools, research laboratories, centers of excellence, and distance learning centers. Higher education is taken to include undergraduate and postgraduate education, while vocational education and training beyond secondary education is known as further education in the United Kingdom, or continuing education in the United States.

Tertiary education generally culminates in the receipt of certificates, diplomas, or academic degrees.

School

A school is an institution designed for the teaching of students (or "pupils") under the direction of teachers. Most countries have systems of formal education, which is commonly compulsory.[citation needed] In these systems, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regional section below) but generally include primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education. An institution where higher education is taught, is commonly called a university college or university.

In addition to these core schools, students in a given country may also attend schools before and after primary and secondary education. Kindergarten or pre-school provide some schooling to very young children (typically ages 3–5). University, vocational school, college or seminary may be available after secondary school. A school may also be dedicated to one particular field, such as a school of economics or a school of dance. Alternative schools may provide nontraditional curriculum and methods.

Admission prep: Folders and results - "Who goes where"

Hello: hello :,

I "fun" to do a general survey of "Who goes where" since 2008 (2008 - 2009 - 2010 - 2011 - 2012 - 2013 -2014)

The goal is to enable future applicants in prep to have one list available when they want to take a look at records of people who were admitted to a particular prépa (nicks are then in blue, just click it to open the web page directly overlooking the folder). And for those who did not leave a link to their applications, students can always send them a PM.

I also specifies that it is quite normal if you see several times the nickname of the same person, because I have listed institutions where people were admitted, but that does not necessarily mean that they have gone there, they have built. Because as I said, this list should be used primarily for high school students, so they can compare folders and try to assess their chances of being admitted to a particular school. But whether we agree: if you feel a folder as good as yours, it does not necessarily mean that you will be taken in the same establishment.

Finally, you'll notice that I added two more selective schools that do not offer CPGEs: Dauphine (Paris) and Sciences Po (Paris), since there is also a selection on file for these courses typically prized by applicants in prep.

For a list, see and / or download on this link (last edict of 18/03/2012).

If I made any mistakes, please report them to me. And if other people want to appear on the list, it is found;-).

: thank you:

Hesitation about studying to work in biotechnology

Hello,
I am currently in the first year of Chemistry at the IUT had reindeer.
I chose this course because in the end end I had a very vague idea of what I wanted to do later, and I thought that chemistry is present everywhere (this would leave me open door).
However, since the returned my career is a bit more refined and now I wonder if I'm in the right sector to do what I want later.
I am interested in biotechnology in general but especially biotechnology environment (pollution, biomass ..) and marine (microalgae etc)
I am also interested in agronomy because I think that we can not continue to feed the world by continuing on the path that we took (misuse of fertilizer etc ...). I learned about many different agronomic technology "green" (agroforestry, Association other leguminous plants etc ...)

I think that biotechnology is a promising sector for the future but I do not know how to access because it is a multidisciplinary dominates from what I could understand.

My question is: can I access this area had a chemistry or is that a forced Bioengineering (agronomy option) is most suitable for me? Knowing that for the moment I do not fulfilled me in this chimie.Je had said that I would like to pursue engineering school if my results allow.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer me and read this big pad!
